So, it has been a long time since I've written something in my dA journal. Lots has happened, and I actually have a lot to share, but somehow my poor time management skills got in the way, along with my hectic grad school life. Well, now I'm wrapping up my last assignment, waiting for things to render, so here's what has happened in a nutshell.


As has mentioned before, after the last journal entry, I decided to go to Parsons at the end. There was a 3-week Bootcamp program we had to go through before the real school year starts. While I had done some good stuff, I messed up the final presentation.

So that was that. When school started, I had to take 2 required studio courses. I also chose an Intro to Animation course, a Intro to 3D Modeling course, and a collab in Machinima.

Here's my conclusion by the end of the semester:
1) Never trust your instructors to know everything.

2) Getting feedback for user testing is a lot harder than I thought. Sometimes I wonder if my testers actually think I'm pissed off or something....

3) Sleep is luxury, and junk food are your best ally in night-overs.

4) Never trust the computers in the classroom/auditorium you will be doing your presentation; your laptop is your most trustworthy instrument.


And yeah, there had been some student protest going on during finals week. Something about the president being inefficient with his administration, with 5 Provosts changed during a course of 10 years.

New York truly is an interesting place, though. During the past few months, I went to my first jazz club concert, see movie screenings in MoMA, and get to sit around Pier 45 for hours, just to see two guys trying to pick up my teammate, also a guy.

I really should update more frequently..... Especially with the many stuff I came up with during these months.
